As a long time user of the 505, I have to chime in with my favorable opinion of both the pattern call and the megamix features. For jumping around and testing transitions, this is very nice way to go. The megamix is a good way to combine stuff from other patterns and see what might go together (of course having the ability to transpose a single part in real time is helpful too).
