Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

hi

i appreciate anyone's help on these 2 issues:
i use logic audio for sequencing and the xl-7

1. when i change the track on the xl-7 in pattern mode, it stops 
sounding. logic is still playing the song and sending midi signal.  
how can i edit other tracks while all of them are playing.  the xl-7 
is in stop.

2. somehow, i have a sequence for a kick.  only the notes that have 
127 velocity play, others with less do not sound.  i still see the 
midi signal going into the xl-7, but no sound.
