My 2 cents: I paid the full price and hard earned money for my emu gear. The Emu marketing department offers its potential customers at least a functioning unit with certain features. Minor glitches should be tolerated as long as they are going to be straightened out in reasonable time. This box is on the market since 7 months for all I know. The OS has been in a beta version state when it came out. The very welcome support is partly adressing user problems and partly stuff which wouldn´t be necessary to do if it had undergone a proper bug report. Every box has its problems. More or less. And I had gear (korg and roland) that had much less. Until now I kept the mp-7 because I like the general concept and the sounds. I dont like the partly complicated workflow and the OS quality. If you think I am bitching to much, you may do so. If the reported bugs/strange settings are not fixed I will sell the mp-7. If they are this will be a extremely powerful box for people who are willing to learn it.
