Being able to manually control which part of the pattern is being edited in grid mode would go a long way toward eliminating that "almost," of course. >>>Yeah, the more I play with my XL-7, the more I wish this was implemented the way you suggest. Having to stop a pattern to go back and fix a drum hit can be tedious. Hopefully in February...<<< True, and that's a good thing, but there's also no way to do one-button pattern switching a la Roland's Pattern Call (or drop MIDI phrases in at will a la Roland's RPS). Right now you're limited to dialing, which is less than ideal live. >>>When I play out live, I copy all of the patterns I'm going to play into a seperate User Bank, that way you only have to scroll a single increment to get the next pattern. Even if you don't lay out your sets in a linear fashion this way, it still helps to avoid having to scrol through numerous banks. <<< As well as this. As frustrating as it may be to hear something you worked hard on criticized, it's reassuring to know that the criticism is being listened to. >>>We've all said it before, but the EMu tech support this list has seen is just phenominal. I'm sure it's not easy for those guys to hear us bitch about their hardwork all the time (certainly nowhere near as easy as it is for us to complain!), but I think it's a good thing for everyone involved. Let's face the brutal truth, no sequencer (any gear really) is going to have every feature that every user wants. Largely it comes down to what can be implemented easily, and will satisfy the most people out there using the gear. I think Emu has done a tremendous job on that front so far, and we all know there's more to come. I wish more people expressed patience with Emu, instead of venting angrily. We're lucky to have such support, let's not drive them away :) <<< rEalm
