Yeah, the XL7 can be run at 240 (if i'm right that's what you guys at the UK use); we here at Chile use 220 and i had no problem with my XL7.
But....
It seems that the transformer generates more heat while converting from 220 to 110. So the unit get's a couple of Cº hotter in 220V countries. Using an external voltage adaptor drives the heat problem away from the XL7 and (we suppose) that should add to stability and working life.
