The manual is really of no help whatever regarding the effects is it?

i read that silly diagram (reprintied throughout the manual) over and
over and finally, through experimentation, figured out that the effects
are ultimately output bound.
so you assign a reverb to send 4 (routed to the mains) and a chorus to
send 1 (routed to the mains) and leave the other sends dry.

this way you get verb or chorus (or whatever you want) on the mains and
still have 2 dry output pairs for drums and other stuff.

i can see by your diagram that you have come to the same conclusion.

i think it's ultimately pretty weak that the effects are bound ot the
outputs.

i'd like to see the output of the effects be routable to whatever out
you want, and use a standard send and return feature to assign the
amount on whatever preset you want.

Akai effects work like this (like a traditional mixer) but the
sequencers aren;t anything like this one...

live, learn, suffer...
