SKB also makes a few DJ workstations that I think might work for you, this
one is pretty cheap too:

Not sure exactly how many rack spaces you need though, so it might be too
small.

Subject: [xl7] Raxxess Converta vs SKB Mini Gig Rig/Roto Roller vs ???
I've been looking for a while now for a more efficient solution to
lug around my gear than the MP7 gig bag + duffel bag + backpack combo
I've been using. Ideally, this would be an all-in-one transport
solution on wheels, as our band rehearses in an apartment on the 5th
floor of a building (with an elevator, thank goodness).
I'd like to get a rack for my MOTU 828MkII audio interface and an 8x8
MIDI interface (to replace my current 2x2 MIDI interface), which are
both rackmountable. It seems to me that a rack case with a popup top
would be the most space efficient way to incorporate my XL7 into a
rack, with the added bonus of the XL7's control surface being
horizontal instead of vertical. In addition, I'd like the rack case
to have a shelf or drawer to store my Nord Micromodular, Electro-
Harmonix EH16, cables, etc. So far I have found two products that
match what I'm looking for:
Raxxess Converta:

SKB Mini Gig Rig + Roto Roller

The SKB combo above costs more but looks more bulletproof. Anybody
have experience with these or know of related models by other
manufacturers to check out?
