Glad to help.

The units are identical less the ribbon and drum pads on the 2500,
oh, and sound set of course.� You had mentioned that you really
wanted the XL-7.� Why did you go with the 2500 instead?� As far as
advantages, it really depends on the music you like.� I like all
styles so it's really up to you.� Do you have a good keyboard
controller?� If you do then I'd say use the expansion slots(you have
3 open)and get the X-LEAD ROM # 9089 and use your controller keys.�
The 2500 is nice but my only gripe is that I wish it had more than
the 3 extra expansion slots.� Right now I have this E-MU gear:

P2K w/Techno Synth Construction Yard & Beat Garden ROM's by Rob Papen
(giving me the standard Proteus and Orbit 3 in one module)

XL-1 standard w/Pure Phatt ROM
(giving me the XL-1 and Mo'Phatt in one module)

Launch Pad midi controller

If the 2500 had six slots, I would sell these and put everything in
one and gain the sequencer(right now I use a hardware sequencer).
