To access it in the list editor, you can set the track to external, but you can only edit stuff at tick 0, you can't add. PS, inserting stuff at tick 1 works as well (i.e. only the first loop through will it play). And as far as a 2.5 is concerned, I do have the rights, but unfortunately, not the time.
