Can you describe a bit more about what doesn't work? You just say you 
can't get it to connect properly.

Does E-Loader launch correctly? [testing installation]

Do your sound card's MIDI ports show up in the MIDI Configuration lists? 
What are they called? (Input and Output). [testing MIDI drivers]

If you choose 'Show Available MIDI Devices' in the MIDI menu, does the 
XL-7 show up in the list? [testing for bi-directional MIDI connection]

If you open the MIDITracker window and then play the keypad on the XL-7 
do you see activity in the window? [testing for input connection]

If you click with your mouse on the MIDITracker channel strips does it 
play your XL-7? [testing for output connection]
