Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Ok, I'm not the person who asked the original question,
however, I have having a similar problem. I tried numerous
different ways of getting the MIDI interface to connect
properly from my Proteus 2500(which is the basically the
same as the MP7 and the XL7 without the keypad), and I
haven't had any success with the E-Loader either, sucks
too because supposedly with the 2500 I can load all of
the factory preset songs and patterns for both the XL7
and the MP7 via the E-Loader.

I'm using Windows 2000 ServPak2, with a Creative Labs
AWE64 Sound Card. I loaded the Microsoft Java Runtime
Engine and that didn't seem to work. Haven't tried the
Sun version thats on the CD yet, which is a recommended
alternative in the FAQ's posted in files in this users
group. I'm going to try that next. But, any other 
suggestions would be helpful.
