I'm cool with this idea and have a suggestion as to how to make it work--if its technologically possible. Each voter gets to rate each submission with 1, 2, or 3 "best" categories. The judges then compile the list of "bests" for each submission. For example, someone might do a piece that other composers might label as: (1) best rendition of a theme from Frank Zappa (2) best combination of pads and strings juxtaposed with a mutated melody disguessed as harmony (3) best use of overlapping duple, triple, quintuple, septuple, and nonuple meters in a 32 measure composition. etc. This way, in theory, everyone is a winner!!!! --Steve --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "djnorythm" <enter_the_netman@h...> wrote: > Hey, > > I don't think the "contest" should be a competitive affair.
