You can only record on one track at a time on the XL-7. You can control and record multiple channels of data at once, but only into one track. It will help you to become familiar with the differences between channels and tracks. I know it's a bit esoteric, but it will help you in the end. Tracks go to channels. You record into one track at a time. You can put as many volume commands for different channels into one track, but they will go to whatever channel(s) the track is routed to. > If this is the case, then is it possible to record volume automation > for multiple channels in one take? Yes. Make a MultiA track and record your automation into that. If you want to then put that data back into your tracks, copy the MultiA track to the clipboard and then use the Explode Clipboard To Tracks command. You can then erase the MultiA track. Note that this will only work if you have your tracks and channels numbered the same. -Aaron __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? New and Improved Yahoo!
