i´m testing the xl-7 for some days now &
finally got used to emu´s weird (as opposed to roland or yamaha)
effect-routings.
but there´s still one problem i couldn´t solve: the
manual says you can control the effect-sends via midi but all the settings i´ve
tried, didn´t work.
my setup is:
send 1 - main (i use a fx a on this
one)
send 2 - sub 1
send 3 - sub 2
send 4 - main (i use a fx b on this
one)
i tried to route knobs o & p to effect sends 1
& 4 (i don´t use arpeggiators) but it didn´t work.
general thoughts:
the overall quality of the xl-7 is really good,
although i (like others in this group) still miss alot of things.
but the main advantage over it´s competitors is the
incredible quality of the hardware, which imo is the best built piece of
equipment since the mpc 60.
