hi there
i´ve just bought an xl7, after watching this group
for some time.it is a great machine, but i´ve
already encountered several serious problems.
1) there are timing problems when i switch between
two patterns. both patterns have the same content. when i switch from 001 to 002
everyting runs smooth. if i do it the other way round there is a serious delay.
2) the rechannelize function does not work the way
i expected it to do.
i´m using my xl7 in combination with a kawai k5000s
( connected with midi i/o a ) and a waldorf µQ ( connected to midi out b).
i´ve set the xl7 to rechannelize=always, track 3 to
midichannel b1 (for the waldorf) and dest:out.
when i play the pads i always hear the waldorf and
the xl7( playing the sound assigned to channel b1). when i play the k5000s,
which is set to local off, i can only hear the xl7. the recorded data plays only
on midi out b1, as it should do.
i thought rechannelize would allow me to
play only the waldorf,either playing the pads on the xl7 or the k5000s. i
remember that someone else on this list was talking about related problems.
3)i´ve noticed a strange thing in the midi
setup
when i load a new user multi setup the parameter
"midi in channels 1-16 " says "---" . when i change it i can only switch between
a or b.
can anyone give me a hint, on this problems ?
