Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

(oh I forgot..you have PC......but it's basically the same procedure)

You probably don't need a midi interface, since XL-7 is you only midi gear.,
but your soundcard has to have at least 1x In and 1x out, which you will
interconnect to XL-7 In and out (2 cables).

i assume you have Mac:
Then download OMS for free at http://www.opcode.com  and install it.
Then open the software by going to OMS studio setup, and then select
auto-detect midi devices, here you sound card should show........then add on
your XL-7 manually by opening new device menu
then give it canal 1..........then save the setting and close OMS then go to
e-loader and try again..

Please pardon my ignorance but what is OMS
set up? and Midi interface? Is that something I need in addition to
the midi expansion cable that I have connected between my sound card
and the XL-7 ??
