I was thinking more about the pattern/preset/multisetup confusion, and it seems to me that looking at multisetups as "styles" would clear up a lot of issues. Have the patterns specify styles, and if you switch styles mid-stream you could expect an initialization "hit" so to speak. Otherwise pattern switching would be seamless, and redundant setup information in pattern groups wouldn't be necessary. (I think. ;) Jeff
