What you need to do is program the arp as part of the preset instead 
of using the master arp. 

Notice in the Edit Preset Menu there is an arp page, it is here that 
you program the arp to play with that individual preset. Then when 
you use that preset on a track in a pattern it will play the arp 
settings saved with the preset.

Hope that solves your problem. I too initially had some issues with 
how to get everything working correctly and thought that the OS 
lacked features. What I realized is that it is all there and once you 
know where all the settings are it is really very flexible. Good luck!
