Thanks for the sales pitch, but unfortunately I am not buying. Sorry. I do need to correct you on a number of points, though. First, these Soundfont package downloads are completely legal they are released by E-MU! Hence the Creative logo, and "Soundfont.com from E-MU / Ensoniq" graphics on the site. Additionally, the Soundfont collection is actually two full banks from the World Expedition ROM, as I have learned. That¹s much different than "not the entire bank one". And it looks like many of the good ones are represented. What is NOT represented are the ARP and BTS presets, which is understandable. And with 256 presets, I am sure more than a few of the "really good ones" are here. And at 1/10th the price you are selling your units for, I think it¹s a wonderful deal. Not to mention you can get at the raw samples and edit them, and build custom drum kits. Try doing that with the Planet Earth or World Expedition ROM. I understand what you're trying to do here, and let it be known that I have worked at large ad agencies for many years so I see right through it. If anyone else has any opinion on these E-MU Soundfont collections, and how they compare to the ROMs, I'd be interested to hear. I don't have much experience with sf2 files or their quality. Thanks.
