Does anyone else using the xx7 to control both an external synth (p2k) and using internal sounds on the same pattern have this problem?: Channel assignments are beforehand allegedly saved along with the Pattern. So how come when I switch to song mode to listen to what I've done, then go back into pattern mode, the channel reassignments have all defaulted back to "int". This is driving me crazy...I've saved the pattern when it's all set up OK but as soon as I play the song and go back again...even changing pattern and reloading it to refresh ther pattern data, the channel assignments are all reverted back to "int" instead of a smattering of "int" and "ext" as I had saved. My midi merge is both off, rechannelize is on, the damn thing just refuses to remember it's ext assignments. I have 3 px7's and all of them are doing this to me. At first I thought it was not saving my multisetup, but I have tried it with and without doing this (according to the manual channel assignments aren't stored in a multisetup anyway) and neither made any difference. I've had to ditch using my TR rack and transfer all my p2k roms into my spare px7 and run them all in tandem using start/stop because of this....a real pain when there's not much room. Any ideas? PS is there a way of using eloader to upload / download sysex data - the midi log thing seems close but has no download.
