Some of the E-mu 12th order filters are *really* hot and peaky. With certain sounds, those peaks can generate pops (basically, you're peaking just the right frequency in the source material). I do agree that the factory sounds and especially the patterns shouldn't have Q up so high on those presets. Turn down Q a few notches and all will be fine. PS. there was a thread on this exact filter not too long ago which came to the same conclusion you did (though not quite as fast as you did!) -Aaron --- Mark Fitt <mark@...> wrote: > Anyone out there with a PX-7 OS2.0 that can confirm this glitch? > > Play Factory Pattern 24, and mute all tracks. > Enable Track 11, and listen. > Enable Track 10, the filter on track 11 should no Click and Pop. > > Seems to be a problem with the EarlyRizer 12th Order Filter, I've > had bugs like this on the Proteus-2000 on an older OS revision, which > was an allocation problem. __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
