Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I have been experimenting with the trigger buttons to fire individual 
samples from my Triton keyboard with the MP-7. Is there a way I can 
assign the keypads to trigger individual notes on multiple machines 
for multitimbral/custom drum kits. Am I asking for too much or do I 
have to buy an MPC2000xl/4000 for this kind of setup?
