We sampled a middle c into an Emu e64 sampler. We then sold it to a composer who then sold it on to a dj who remixed it and he got to number one hit with it!. Serious Question 1: Who pays whom the royalties? Serious Question 2: On the issue of >sampling<-- how can anyone have "intellectual" rights on a sample? ...and my last (not so serious)question :Does anyone here feel GOOD about suggesting that people who participate in enjoying (let alone in CREATING) the audio ARTS - is a CRIMINAL? FYI >>>>>Its called Evolution<<<<<. If I hear that from an EMU employee ( a company that markets samplers, of all products) then I lose some respect I have for the company that made a great live sequencer with a great synth engine - (allbeit with overpriced sample ROMS!!!!!) in the xx7. So please, have some respect for us xx7 users in this forum, because we´ve already shown our respect to you by parting with plenty $$$$$ to buy your product. Sorry about the rant! When´s the next OS upgrade BTW? Paul the ad hominem, invective, hyperbolic agitator.
