Yeah, I was on both lists actually, and although I sold my mc505 (and the 
sp808) more than a year ago, I still moderate and frequent that list.

As for your question, I was going to ask the very same thing tomorrow! 
Multisetups seem....well pointless really.  Maybe it's just me too?  I was 
using just one Multisetup for everything, and then when I started hooking 
the XL-7 up to a Micro Sync so I could integrate it with my tables, I made 
another one that sets the tempo to EXT, and turns off the MIDI Thrus too. 
But switching between Multis was causing me problems, in that the current 
Presets are saved with a Multi too.  So what ever Pattern you were on, the 
presets from it would save as the defaults when you laoded the multi.  Not 
a bigd eal but I wold forget to power off tehn on after loading the multi, 
so my patterns were playing with the wrong presets.  My fault really, but 
now I just set the tempo to EXT manually and don't mess with the multis. 
If they saved only global, arp, and MIDI menu settings it would be better 
I think.

Anyone else got a use for Multi's?

Can you please tell me the most useful purpases of the multisetups as I 
don't see any purpose!
