fuck that, don't you want the arpeggiator and other shit to sync??  just put it on 
an empty pattern

Turn off send MIDI Clock & MTC in Cubase.  I believe it's in the 
Synchronization menu, lower right corner.

My problem is that if i send midi clock to the XL-7 then
the sequencer starts playing (when I just want to use the
sounds basically).
