Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

All was working well and then it just bogged down.
I set all the tracks that I was using to sequence my sampler to ext. 
and set up all the fx settings so they where right then saved the 
hole thing as a multi setup. then I set things up to record it to 
the hard disk for the third time and the 7 suddenly slowed down to a 
crawl.  I don't mean the tempo I am refering to the responce time of 
the all the buttons ane knobs.  like I mean about 2-5 seconds to 
select the next pattern and then I tried the mutes and they where 
taking about the same time to respond.  As I have learned to do when 
thigs get wacky I just out of habit saved the pattern and it could 
not save it SAVE FAILED!!! is what it had to say.  So no problem it 
compressed the datta and free space.  I thought Oh cool now it will 
likley not be so slow.  Well not the case. Turned the thing off and 
on 3 times to see it that would help, nope.  Then I checked out some 
of my old patterns that i have made and they seemed to be fine.  
This track i am working on is just cursed or sompting.

   I am sorry to post yet again but this thing is going back to the 
store for an exchange on the weekend if I can't figure this out.  I 
have had it.  

   Aaron and Scott I know that you guys are not tech support but I 
honestly do not have any time in the day to be sittin around on hold 
to tech support right now.  I am a bike courier and I have not had 
time to eat lunch let alone deal with this in the past little wile.
If I can make the time I will call them and stop bugging you guys on 
the board.

   I am asking you guys for a hand here.  Is this box i have a 
faulty product or am I a moron?

I am going to try to cool off for now.
