I can get hold of an XLead ROM for around 100 quid in the UK. If you buy an XL-7 off ebay in the US, hopefully being secondhand (probably) it will get past customs ok. If not, expect to pay an extra 17.5% (VAT) plus extra charges (they charged me an extra 8 quid for paying the customs charges on my behalf when I imported some E-MU cds). It's possible it will get through customs without incurring extra charges, just don't count on it. Get in touch with me off list and maybe we can come to a deal that benefits us both - if not, I'll still try to help you get a good deal in any way I can. I myself looked at importing an xx-7 from America a while back, as they seemed to be much cheaper, but once you've factored in shipping and possible customs charges, the savings are not worth the extra risks involved.
