You need an Ultra series sampler to burn the flash roms. Apart from that, it's quite simple to do - it just means you have to open up both your xx-7 and sampler every time you want to change one of the sounds. Also, only the actual samples are burned onto the flash - you have to then make presets on the xx-7 to access them and use them. I have a 32MB flash stick, and just missed out on a 16MB one that went on ebay early sunday morning - I was a bit sleepy and let someone snipe it out of my hands for a measly $130 dollars (mind you, I only paid $150 for the 32MB one - that was a one-off tho). The cheapest I've seen them in the UK is 350 quid for the 32MB stick, and around 250 quid for the 16MB one, tho I reckon I could get a 32MB for 250 quid if you're really serious. E-mail me off list if you're interested... I have an E-synth sampler and wonder if i save the sounds on the flash rom, then put it in the mp7, wil this work? Any ideas? And any idea where i can get hold of the flash rom sticks? Thanks, pete.
