Matt, Yup. Crazy! ...but not surprising at all. E-mu discontinues a ROM that people actually still want, and the folks who have spare(s) can expect to get top dollar as they become very scarce. OTOH, some have been discontinued and nobody seemed to notice (anyone remember the earliest expansion ROMs?) We will be seeing more of this. Its odd that E-mu axed the Planet Earth when they did. May not have been a big seller, but it seems like a lot of people still want those sounds (cuz they're GOOD). The irony is that these ROMs and modules will become collectible and sought after, whereas I predict that their new stuff (Emulator-X) will have ZERO collector's value in the future. I'm just sad that this all means that we cannot expect any more new expansions for the P2K platform anymore, just when they were getting really good! This is the end of the line.
