I think pretty much all of them are 2.04. I contacted Red Sound when I first got mine to make sure there wasn't a more recent update,a dn tehy told me that 2.04 was the final version for the MicroSync's. As for the push pull thing, yeah, that's the only real downside of this little box. Sometimes it acts a little unpredictably, and can go off beat for a bit. I find the best way to use mine, is to let it calculate the tempo, hit start to sync my PX-7, and then put it in "freewheeling mode" for the rest of the time. you can still use the nudge buttons if you hear it starting to slip, and you don't have to worry about it getting a stray tempo, or during long drops. The MicroSync is still the best out for this kinda of stuff, but it does require a bit more 'babysitting' than I would prefer. If it was accurate enough to just hit play and forget about it, that would be so sweet. Oh well, if it was too easy.... rEalm What OS version is your MicroSync? Mine is 2.04, and I gotta say I found the midiclock output when there's no input audio signal to be a bit erratic. I also agree with you saying it needs a lag processor when it's syncing to audio - sometimes it starts pushing and pulling the beats all over the place even when there's a steady beat. I really hate that poor building quality on some Behringer things.
