What OS version is your MicroSync? Mine is 2.04, and I gotta say I found the midiclock output when there's no input audio signal to be a bit erratic. I also agree with you saying it needs a lag processor when it's syncing to audio - sometimes it starts pushing and pulling the beats all over the place even when there's a steady beat.
