Yeah, the ES-1 and the ESX-1 can both play as many samples as there are
parts. I think that's like 8 or 10. But you can only play one sample at
a time per part.
Have you looked at the Akai MPC1000? Another relatively cheap tabletop
sampler, with far more features.
