this one is easy......the xl-7 blows the 505 away in all areas except for
effects.   the grid recording is way easier.  the sounds are awesome.  i had
a 505 and got rid of it when i bought the xl -7......about those effects
though....the 505 had some good ones, but i can get better ones from my zoom
1201 and old boss digital delay.
