Perhaps my run-on sentence did not deliver the message clearly (I have an mp-7 by the way). The mp-7 patternsand presets are not really geared towards dance [patterns in particular]. You can, however, tweak them to do whatever you want. I also have the drum rom+px-7patterns, sied rom, and xlver2 rom+xl-7patterns(maybe I'll switch back to ver 1). Not to mention my maxxed 2500...
