Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I'm changing my global settings.  I saved them to a new user 
setup.  Well I can load up the new setup and it plays the patterns 
to my expectations.  But as soon as I hit the stop button twice 
(like to go back to the beginning of the song) the settings revert 
back to some default, even though I've loaded a new setup.  What is 
the problem here?
