Re: Cut/Paste Problem, Round 2

2004-01-13 by xkrider1

Yeah, I'd tried that, but in the process of stumbling around with
this, I realized what the problem was with the "Combine Tracks"
function. The PX-7 manual says, on p. 90, "This function takes all
selected tracks (selected by pressing the flashing mute keys [in
italics in the text]), combines them...". Being really unfamiliar
with most of the concepts that the xx-7s are based on, AND TRUSTING
THE MANUAL, I was following instructions and pressing the flashing
mute keys. Of course, this was actually DE-selecting the tracks, so,
since I was intending to select all of the tracks, I was actually
selecting NONE of them. Voila, an activated multi-channel
track "pasted" with no data. (I humbly accept the "green ass" award,
for the moment.) Now, looking back at the Song Cut and Paste
instructions, I think those may not make any sense either, and it
looks like they were created by some sloppy and/or erroneous - dare I
say it - cutting and pasting.
Anyway, thanks for thinking about my problem.
