Yes there is a midi transmit setting for key/note output and knob output. I am not sitting with my MP-7 to tell you exactly where, but I believe you can find it fairly quickly if you scroll through. Is this the editor you tried: http://www.saxonite.co.uk/Proteum/Proteum.stm If not, you may want to give it a go. However, I don't know if any will work without sending and receiving midi.
