Yes there is a midi transmit setting for key/note output and knob 
output. I am not sitting with my MP-7 to tell you exactly where, but 
I believe you can find it fairly quickly if you scroll through.
 Is this the editor you tried:

If not, you may want to give it a go. However, I don't know if any 
will work without sending and receiving midi. FYI The world roms are 
in high demand around here, good buy.

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
