Did you try to "Apply Clipboard Settings" after you did the paste? If you just cut and paste the MIDI data to a new track, the XX-7 doesn't automatically copy the Preset from the source track, you have to do that manually. rEalm Well, after some more experimentation, in addition to my other Cut/Paste failures, I can't get the Combine Multiple Tracks into Single Multitrack function (p.91, PX-7 manual)to work either - this appearing to be a variation on the Cut/Paste theme. When I try this, everything appears to be working as it should (as usual), complete with the destination track LED lit, but PLAY reveals no sound on that track, just like no apparent paste in my other attempts.
