Also, on the power issue, in addition to a UPS, a line conditioner made by Furman is always a
good idea. You can get one of their cheaper ones which will only iron out the line spikes and
clean up your sound, or you can spend $450 on their Power Conditioner, the AR 1215 or the
discontinued AR 117. The latter are usually found on eBay for around $250. The Power Conditioner
will even out the power if it's too high or too low. An essential tool if you live in a place
with uneven electricity or if you EVER gig out. (Unless you don't mind replacing your gear every
once in a while...)
