Sorry if this has already been suggested, but better to be redundant than totally quiet. Is your XL-7 plugged into a decent surge supressor, or straight into the wall? I've found that this can really make quite a huge difference - surpressors condition the power considerably better than a bare wall outlet by keeping the voltage constant and level. Those little spikes and dips that come from a wall outlet can damage electronics of any sort over time. As for the powered-off-and-not- back-on-until-morning issue, this could be caused by an electric spike - my computer did something similar a few years ago when a small surge hit my apartment. It only affected the single computer plugged straight into a wall outlet, and it took most of the night to dissipate the extra charge that had forced its way into the power supply. Just some thoughts! /.e --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, erik_magrini@B... wrote: > Ok, so I went home last night and sat down to try and figure out this > weird problem I'm having using some of the advice on the list.
