Ok, so I went home last night and sat down to try and figure out this weird problem I'm having using some of the advice on the list. First thing I did was sit down and back up everything in my XL-7 (err, really just the Multi's as I back everything else up daily anyway), and then reloaded the OS. This went fine and once it was done, the XL-7 appeared to be running better. No more menu delays, and my Presets seem to be ok too. The data wheel was still a bit strange, but I think that might just be the data wheel getting on in years (what was the name of the spray you guys used to clean it with? I'm too lazy to look it up). Then, just to be safe, I decided to check the diagnostics too. Entered diagnostic mode (power on while holding both Cursor buttons, in case you forgot) and ran all the tests, everything checked out ok. I go to Screen 18 to reboot the XL-7, and it turns off and then..... stays off. Hmm, power cycle, it still nothing, dead as a door nail. I pull the power cord, wait 15 minutes, try again, and still nothing. Tried again a couple of hours later, and it still won't power up. Big thanks to Aaron, the Emu expert, for his sage-like advice. :) Hehe, just kidding with you man. Anyway, I get up early this morning and try it again, and lo and behold it turns on! Ok, so now it seems to be working, but I'm not too comfortable with it's stability at this point. Kind of worrisome that took all night before it would even turn on again, and I have no explaination what could be causing it. Long story short, everything appears to be fine now, but for how long is the question that worries me. Hopefully I'll know more by Monday. Thanks again to everyone for their advice, except Aaron (hehe, that was a joke too). rEalm The information transmitted is intended only for the person(s)or entity to which it is addressed and may contain confidential and/or legally privileged material.
