AFAIK, you can't use all the internal and external
channels separately at the same time, which limits you to 32 channels set to
internal, external or both - you can't use channel one internal, and the same
one on an external unit. I could be completely confused - check the manual -
it's online.
32 channels is more than anyone in their right mind
needs, anyway. As long as I can access the external units, I'm
happy.
The host port is a usb computer connection. They
haven't given us the software to use it yet.
The midi channel charts are in the back of the pdf.
I don't know where the implementation charts are, though I would be very
interested in them - especially the pattern transfer ones. I'm still not sure
why I get such strange midi output from the transfer software. Plays back ok,
but it really makes not sense - multiple midi tracks for separate parts of the
same track recorded at different times, and other stuff, like ultra long midi
tracks (probably never-ending in the file), and blank ones. I loaded cakewalk
3.01 again, to see if logic was culrpit, but no dice.
How does a 505 tigger tracks?
