You can set it so that only new members are moderated.
Once their first post has been approved, they are no longer moderated.
That eliminates 99% of the spam, even though they keep changing their 
originating address.

Move to quarantaine

This moves the raw source file on disk only. The archive index is not changed automatically, so you still need to run a manual refresh afterward.
