Bill the PK-6 has the same sounds as the Proteus Pop Collection ROM. There are fairly well. If you go with this board, it might be helpful to get a ZR ROM. Other options, consider the Roland RS series. They have great control features, killer sounds, and they are fairly affordable. However, I am not sure if they are upgradeable. Check it out before you buy. If you already have a command station, you would just be getting more E-mu. The Roland environments are fairly easy. Just my opinion to help you make great music. The XK-6 has (allegedly) the same ROM as the XL-7. The MK-6 as the MP-7. You can start to see the pattern. How are the sounds on the Halo? Are they geared toward any particular 'style' of music making, or just kind of general use stuff? How's the feel of the keys?
