Thank You Sir !!! ... I can't wait 'till he comes back to try it !! ... This will enable me to tweak his sequences while he isn't here.. Thanks Again !!
One other Q .... Do I need to stop record in time to prevent it from writing over itself ?...And also ...If I use ....enable midi song start ....to record his sequences will the first notes be clipped ?

Go to midi, make sure that your re-channelize input is on record and that
your midi receive is on the A channels. Also, you will probably need to
make a multi-setup in global: choosing the sounds you want on the 16 A
channels and then saving them in the global user area as a new setup.
Please save it, otherwise the sounds will not be the ones you want. Also,
make sure the rest of your MIDI info is transmitting to MIDI A and not MIDI
B.
Have a great day - it took me a week to figure this one out. You enjoy the
benefits of my long hours of confusion.but victory!

I have a buddy w a yamaha xx-7000 ... he brings over sequences and I lock
up with mp-7 and turn OFF re-channelize input and re-mix like crazy with
sounds from the MP-7 usindg his sequences ...
QUESTION IS ... how do I record his sequences into the MP-7.... If I hit
record or set up external song start and hit play on his machine it will
only record on 1 track ... aklthough all 16 of his sequencer track seem to
goto my 1 track ...
How do I get his tracks to record onto my 16 discreet channel A tracks,
Thanks !!
