Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

I was playing arounfd with beats mode for the first
time and realized that I do not have any baets presets
for my MP_7 rom. (My machine is an MP-7 w/ additions
of XL, Wrld, & TSCY) Does the MP-7 not ship with beats
or is something wrong?
  Also what is the difference between an arp pattern
and a riff? I notice I have only 200 Arps, but have
822 riffs. Can I use the riffs in a sequence or are
they just for use with the audition?

  Please forgive me if you have discussed this before;
I am new to the board. While I have read many of the
back log of messages, I am far from reading them all.
