Use E-Loader to view a pattern exported from your xl7 or mp7 (MIDI-- >Midi File Event Listing). Look at the header of each track and you'll see something that looks like this: 0: cntrllr ch: 1 ctl: 0 val: 14 The value 14 after "ctl: 0" indicates that this track is using the XL- 7 soundset. These are the values of "ctl: 0" that I have figured out so far: 00 = USER 13 = PHATT 14 = XL-7 15 = MP-7 So, theoretically, you should be able to edit the patterns to replace these values with the appropriate values, and voila, you should have a working pattern. The reason I got started with this is that I bought the PURE PHATT ROM in hopes of getting all the MP-7 patterns to play on my XL-7. Well, that didn't work. So now, I need to either write a quick little program to modify all the MP-7 patterns to point to the PHATT rom, or hand edit them myself. Hope this helps. If anyone knows of any midi librarians that will allow me to change this value in all of the pattern files I have, I'd certainly appreciate it! -Clint --- In xl7@yahoogroups.com, "M2" <mmcquay@s...> wrote: > Don't waste your time Robert as it won't work.
