Nice workaround, I forgot about that way.  Wouldn't have worked in my 
situation (already at the gig, with no computer), but it would definitely 
be doable as one of those prep things.  Thanx.

I agree this is frustrating, but there is a work-around for this 
problem.  Using E-Loader, transfer the pattern to a computer and open 
it up in a software sequencer.  Make sure there is no data in the 
track you're trying to delete, and then upload it again to the XL7. 
It shouldn't be this inconvenient, but this method does work.
