Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

Newbie wants to know -

how to install the EMU 9063 Beat Garden 32MB Expansion ROM into the XL-7...
is this a simple process of opening the box and snapping in the chip? Do I
need any particular version of software to operate this upgrade? currently
running 1.3
