Emu XL-7 & MP-7 User's Group

You missed out the word 'expensive'. I don't think the Korg microkontrol is
in quite the same league as the JL Copper Motormix that you favour. And if
the intended use is solely studio-based, and money is an issue, then the
XL-7 should be more than adequate...

A few obvious reasons: (i) a dedicated fader box doesn't interfere
with operation of the XL-7; (ii) most fader boxes are of
higher-quality than the XL-7's bank of knobs; (iii) many fader boxes
give better feedback of the fader values.
